Lady Luck

I recently went to a casino for the first time ever which was very fun, and I won enough to keep me drinking and gambling all night long...so that was a plus! I recently bought this beautiful t-shirt from the Topshop website; I couldn't resist the tropical pattern on it. I dressed it up with a blue pencil skirt and red platform heels (not in the pictures) and a gold necklace and rings. One of my favourite outfits I have worn ever!

What a difference a colour makes

I've been a bit lax with my posts recently as I have been very busy at work! This outfit I wore for a night out with my girls, and as it is finally not so bitterly cold I could just about get away with this! I love leather details on clothing, and although not shown particularly well in this picture, the whole front panel on this playsuit is leather style. A bit hot maybe when you're dancing but a price I am definitely willing to pay for this. The devil is in the detail though, and this is certainly true here. A neon perspex clutch and green strappy sandals really make this outfit something special, and nod towards some of the SS'13 trends.

My Godson's Christening

Events like christenings and weddings can always be difficult to chose an outfit for; always trying to wear something appropriate but also fun and fashionable. I chose to wear my favourite pair of patterned cigarette trousers, with a bright top and statement necklace. I paired this with these beautiful shoes, which aren't the most comfortable but I love them and how ladylike they are. To finish the outfit I plaited my hair and then curled it up into a bun at the side of my head.

Mother's Day dinner

I always like to experiment with clothes and so for me any occasion is the perfect occasion. On Sunday I went for dinner with my family; and used the excuse to wear some new clothes I had purchased and not had anywhere to wear them yet.

Dress: Asos
Belt: H&M
Tights: Asos

These tights are one of my favourite pairs because as well as being practical in this cold weather, the stripes make them that little bit more interesting. I absolutely love a little bit of unusual detail in an outfit. This dress is easy to dress up and dress down for whatever occasion, and the heavily embellished belt is another way to add some interesting detail to the whole outfit.

Saturday 9 March 2013

I've been feeling for a while that I wanted to share my ideas for outfits and clothes I've been wearing; but been at a bit of a loss about where I should do this. And then I thought, where better to share my thoughts than on a blog? I always look through magazines and websites full of incredible but hugely out of my price range clothing; and so my idea with this blog is to replicate some high fashion looks for a high street price tag...as well as some of my own favourite outfits from my wardrobe.

So here we go...

I have noticed over the last few weeks how much of a comeback ripped jeans are making. Like probably most of you I had banished mine to the back of my wardrobe a few seasons ago, but now they are back on the up I have dug them back out, but tried a SS'13 twist by turning up the bottoms just a couple of times. This brings an old pair of jeans right up to date; without having to go out and buy a new pair! Which my purse is incredibly happy about. I've styled them with the current weather still in mind; although I'm not quite brave enough to wear this outside in the cold yet!
